Olivia Dunne joined the LSU gymnastics team in 2020. While attending Louisiana State University, she met Paul Skenes, and the couple started dating in 2023. Skenes was drafted as the No. 1 overall pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates the same year.

Skenes is coming off a stellar 2024 season with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He finished his rookie season with an 11-3 record, a 1.96 ERA, 170 strikeouts and a 0.95 WHIP. He was named an All-Star, won the NL Rookie of the Year and finished third in the Cy Young Award rankings.
