For 12 seasons, Shane Victorino, whose other name was the Flyin’ Hawaiian, played in Major League Baseball. His career stats included a .275 batting average with 108 home runs and 489 RBIs.

Victorino recorded 1,274 hits and maintained a .340 on-base percentage besides having a .425 slugging percentage. He posted a .765 OPS while stealing 231 bases.

Throughout his career, he played for the San Diego Padres, Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels. He won the 2008 and 2013 World Series with the Phillies and Red Sox, respectively.

Victorino’s participation shows how closely connected the sports industry is, as players back each other up in and out of their games. With that said, it seems appropriate as Holloway looks ahead to upcoming fights within the UFC, he still manages to have a nice time and celebrate turning a year older.
