Photo: Alexandra Daddario poses in pinstripes with perfect timing as Juan Soto rounds the bases after home run
Alexandra Daddario was among the stars out to catch the epic series finale for the New York Yankees on Sunday, and she happened to get a picture at an almost perfect moment.
Juan Soto hit two home runs on Sunday, and the slugger was nearly at home plate as the actress posed nearby in pinstripes.
Daddario did technically have two chances to catch Soto rounding the bases, as he blasted his 29th and 30th home runs on Sunday. He's had a brilliant season at the plate, and the White Lotus actress captured one of those moments of brilliance with a stunning photo.
Daddario, also known for her work on White Collar and Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, was born in New York City and seems to be a fan of the Yankees. It is unclear whose number is on the back of her iconic pinstriped jersey though.
Juan Soto makes history with two home runs on Sunday
While Alexandra Daddario was able to pose in front of one Juan Soto blast on Sunday vs. the Texas Rangers, it was not the only home run he hit. Either one of them would have sufficed to make MLB history, though.
Soto, though just 25 years old, has done something rather improbable. Ahead of his first foray into free agency, he is just the 80th player since 1998 to hit a home run against all 30 major league teams. He is the 18th active player to achieve this feat.
Four such players have done this in 2024 alone, including one of his own teammates. Giancarlo Stanton joined the club on April 10 when he went deep against the Miami Marlins.
Soto has done it faster than anyone else, requiring seven MLB seasons and coming before his 26th birthday. This season has seen a surge of power at the plate, as his 30 home runs are the second-most he has ever hit.
Should he hit six more over the next 43 games, he will set a personal best. He's on pace for 41, which would be an impressive tally in a contract year.
