Pittsburgh Pirates rookie starting pitcher Paul Skenes and his girlfriend Olivia Dunne touched down in Arlington, Texas, for the Midsummer Classic on Sunday. The All-Star week has an action-packed final two days of the break as the best hitters take part in the Home Run Derby on Monday, while the NL All-Stars battle the AL All-Star in the Midsummer Classic on Tuesday.
Dunne made it to Globe Life Field to watch the MLB Home Run Derby on Monday night. She rocked a custom-designed 'Paul Skenes No. 30' vest for the event, which will see eight of the best strikers in the ongoing season battle it out for bragging rights by smashing the most home runs.

When the announcements for the All-Star selections were made on July 7, Livvy threw a romantic surprise party for Paul Skenes after he hada earned the All-Star nod. He created history by becoming the only ballplayer to do so in their rookis season.
Both Skenes and Olivia Dunne are talented individuals who have already achieved a lot. Olivia committed to a fifth year with the LSU Tigers after helping them claim their maiden NCAA title in April, following which she became the highest-earning student athlete via her impressive NIL deals.
Paul, meanwhile, achieved a similar feat when he propelled the Tigers to a seventh College World Series last year, soon after which the Pirates selected him as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 MLB draft. Since making his big league debut in May, the ace rookie hasn't looked back, jumping to a 6-0 record in 2024.
Paul Skenes will start the Midsummer Classic for the NL All-Stars after manager Torey Lovullo announced the same during a podcast interview of the rookie ace on Friday. Skenes responded to that:
“There are a lot of really good pitchers that have been in the league for a little bit that probably are also deserving. To even be in the conversation is really cool, and obviously, to be named the starter, it’s surreal.”
Skenes and Dunne made their way to Texas on Sunday.

The All-Star game will be played on Tuesday at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, at 8 p.m. EST.
