Miami Marlins starting pitcher Ryan Weathers had a stellar performance against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field on Sunday. He pitched six dominant innings without allowing any runs to the D-backs, leading the Marlins to a 3-1 win.
Ryan Weathers’ wife Thayer Hall expressed her full support for her husband during his impressive performance on the mound. She took to Instagram, cheering for the 24-year-old by posting a pitching clip from the match on her story.

The clip shows Ryan Weathers throwing the ball to strike out the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Christian Walker. Hall posted another story showcasing her husband's impressive stats, highlighting seven strikeouts with four hits in six scoreless innings pitched.
Ryan Weathers made his major league debut in 2020 with the San Diego Padres. Weathers and Thayer Hall met in the same year, just before the New Year.
However, their connection goes back to 2018 when they were named the National Gatorade Players of the Year. They followed each other on social media but didn't meet.
In Dec. 2020, a mutual friend encouraged Ryan to reach out to Thayer and shortly after, they started dating. The couple took vows in Georgetown, Tennessee on Nov. 6, 2022.
Ryan Weathers expresses confidence and control of his pitching game
The Miami Marlins won two games of the three-game series against the D-backs getting their fourth consecutive series win. In his last three games, a total of 21 innings, Ryan Weathers has only given up one earned run.
Talking about his performance, Weathers said (via ABC News):
“I think I’m just believing in myself and trusting my pitches over the heart of the plate early in the count. It gives me some options later in the count.”
Ryan Weathers with a 3.16 ERA, pitched another fantastic game, getting his third win against four losses on the season. Discussing his outing, Marlins manager Skip Schumaker said:
“It always starts with pitching. Weathers had another outstanding performance. Five walks in all of May, which shows you his growth.”
The Miami Marlins face the San Diego Padres on Monday at Petco Park in the opener of their three-game series.
