The LMB All-Star game is scheduled to be played soon, and two former MLB players were spotted together. The players were the former Los Angeles Dodgers’ Trevor Bauer and the former New York Yankees’ Luke Voit.

Rachel Luba, who is the agent for Trevor Bauer, captured both former stars, rocking the All-Star jerseys. She even captioned the picture with unique text.

“King of 💣 @LLVIII40 [Luke Voit] + King of ⚔️ @BauerOutage [Trevor Bauer]”

Trevor Bauer began playing in the Mexican baseball league in 2023, following a year in the Nippon League in Japan. He signed a five-game deal with the Diablos Rojos del México, which also stated that he could leave the squad if an MLB team signed him.

Luke Voit also decided to play in the Mexican League after he was released by the New York Mets in 2024. He joined the Olmecas de Tabasco on April 28th, 2024. In 2020, he was MLB's HR leader. In that season, he hit 22 home runs.

The Diablos Rojos will host the LMB All-Star game, as they have won the most (16 LMB titles). The All-Star game will be held in Mexico City, marking the event's 100th anniversary.

Cardinals prez. on why MLB teams don’t want Trevor Bauer back

Trevor Bauer, the 2020 Cy Young Award winner, remains unsigned by any Major League Baseball teams despite a strong showing in Mexico's professional league. While Bauer boasts a stellar 5-0 record with a 1.50 ERA, teams seem hesitant to offer him a contract.

This unwillingness likely stems from the sexual assault allegations against Bauer in 2021, which led to a lengthy suspension. Although his suspension has expired, off-field issues continue to be a major concern for MLB teams.

"All the noise that was around that [Bauer], I just don't know if that would be good for this community, good for our team, and I don't want to make it look like I'm so desperate to have to win that I would do something that, maybe, would fly in the face of one's moral compass," said Cardinal’s president Jon Mezeliak.

Bauer's outspoken personality and past controversies might also be contributing factors.
