Mookie Betts is enjoying his offseason. The Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder continues to get the most out of his time; when he is not busy winning World Series titles, bowling trophies, or having his famous friends come on his podcast, Mookie has done a good job enjoying all that Los Angeles has to offer.
On Sunday night, Mookie Betts and his wife Brianna were seen in attendance at the Los Angeles Lakers matchup against the Toronto Raptors. At nearly every Lakers game, there will be some celebrity watching near the court, which turned out to be the case for the Dodgers superstar and his wife.
Even though Mookie is coming off a World Series title for Los Angeles, he was arguably not the most famous face in the crowd. Mookie and Brianna Betts were in a star-studded group of celebrities, including Ben Affleck, singer Halsey, Jessica Alba, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau of Game of Thrones fame.
Mookie and Brianna are often seen out enjoying Los Angeles. This also includes basketball games, as this was not the first time the loving couple has been spotted sitting courtside at a Lakers game.
One of Mookie Betts' former teammates believes he could play in the NBA
Although Mookie and Brianna Betts were in attendance watching stars like LeBron James and Anthony Davis, according to one of Mookie's former teammates, the Los Angeles Dodgers superstar could have been on the court alongside the rest of the Lakers.
On an episode of Baseball Isn’t Boring Podcast in August, All-Star reliever Kenley Jansen said that Mookie Betts could be a multi-sport athlete if he wanted to. While Betts may only stand at 5'9", Jansen is convinced that the eight-time All-Star could play in the NBA.
"Any sport that he does, that he puts his hands on, he’s just that gifted that he could play in the NBA right now, he could play football right now,” Jansen explained.
While it may be a stretch to say that Brianna Betts could be watching her husband on an NBA court, we have seen Mookie dominate the bowling alley. It seems that there is nothing that Mookie Betts can't do, so maybe Jansen could be on to something. In the meantime, he will need to watch NBA courtside with his wife.
