Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds might have requested a trade this offseason, but it now looks almost certain that he's going to stay.

Last April, Reynolds signed a mega two-year contract worth $13.5 million with the Pittsburgh Pirates. And while the Pirates are not obligated to deal with the outfielder considering he is under contract for another year, Reynolds expressed his frustration at how the conversation developed with the Pirates.
While there was a difference in opinion and the already known fact that Bryan has wanted out all summer, it looks like the Pirates man has no more gas left in his tank to force a move:
“I mean, not getting too much into it, I think just a difference in opinion and I don’t know I guess, and what we viewed my worth as a player I guess, and that’s where we ended up."
Stuck at a crossroads for a couple of months now, the former Vanderbilt Commodores collegiate, Bryan admitted that while it looks bleak, he still does want to be traded this offseason:
“I mean nothing’s, nothing’s really changed from that, that front. But I wanted to get down here early, and you know get to work."
However, that hasn't changed his commitment to the Pittsburgh Pirates, and he has made his way back to spring training, hoping to have a "semi-normal spring training for once."
"I'm always going to be where my feet are at," Bryan said Wednesday. "I'm here right now, so I'm locked in for 100 percent Pirates -- whatever that takes."
Bryan Reynolds was an All-Star in 2021
Bryan Reynolds was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the second round of the 2016 MLB draft.
Reynolds was traded by the Giants to the Pirates in 2018. MLB.com ranked Reynolds as Pittsburgh's sixth-best prospect going into the 2018 season. He made his MLB debut in 2019 with the Pirates and made his debut All-Star appearance in 2021.
