“Powerpuff Girls in Japan” - Luis Severino’s wife Rosmaly sees Blossom, Bubbles & Buttercup in herself and Starling Marte's & Jose Quintana's wives

The 2024 season was a successful one for Luis Severino, Starling Marte, Jose Quintana, and the New York Mets, as they made it as far as the NLCS for the first time since 2015. With another grueling 162+ game season done and dusted, the stars now have some well-earned time to relax with their families.

It appears the aforementioned trio and their families are making the most of the time off, taking a group trip to Japan.

On Thursday, Luis Severino's wife, Rosmaly Frechel, took to Instagram to post a picture alongside Starling Marte's wife Elianny Santana and Jose Quintana's wife Michell to her Instagram story, likening the trio to Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup from the popular animated TV show "The Powerpuff Girls".

Just like the players that compete together the whole season, the Mets players' wives have shown a great level of camaraderie. Over the course of the entire 2024 season, and especially in the playoffs, the WAGs were often spotted cheering for the Mets as a group, be it at home or on the road.

The New York Mets won the wild card and division series before ultimately falling to eventual champions, the Los Angeles Dodgers, in the NLCS.

Luis Severino and wife Rosmaly Frechel enjoy tourist attractions in Kyoto, Japan

Before Japan's capital was shifted to Tokyo in 1868, Kyoto had been the capital city for more than 1000 years, and it is a must-visit for any tourist wanting to experience the city's old-world charm.

On their trip to the country, Luis Severino and co. made sure to do just that. His wife Rosmaly Frechel posted plenty of photos and videos to her Instagram story to give fans a sneak peek into the sights and sounds of the historic city.

First, the group visited Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, which is a popular tourist destination during the autumn months. Next, they went to the Iwatayama Monkey Park, which is very popular among tourists, allowing visitors to meet over 100 wild Japanese Macaque monkeys, uncaged and in their natural habitat.

Finally, Luis Severino and co. made sure to visit the Kiyomizu-dera temple, which is famous for having 'powers' that make one's wishes come true. For this reason, there is a wall displaying thousands of written wishes in many languages found at the temple.

For now, the stars and their families will be fully focusing on enjoying their holiday and resting, with the new season still a ways away. The focus shifts back to baseball after the New Year with spring training typically starting in February, as the Mets hope to follow up the 2024 season with more success in 2025.
