Roman Anthony's sister reveals getting tons of messages from guys right after her brother's debut with Red Sox

Young outfielder Roman Anthony is one of the Boston Red Sox organization's most highly-rated prospects. After impressive showings in the minor leagues, the 21-year-old was finally handed his much-anticipated big league debut on Tuesday, as the Red Sox hosted the Tampa Bay Rays at Fenway Park.

Despite the talented youngster being the center of attention ahead of first pitch, it was his sister, Lia, who also turned plenty of heads during the game, as she and the rest of Roman's family were in attendance at Fenway Park to cheer for him and the home team.

Soon after she was spotted at the ballpark, her Instagram account saw a significant boost, as she went from about 3,000 followers to over 20,000, as of writing.

Talking about the significant increase in following and male attention that she has received ever since being spotted at Fenway Park, Lia Anthony made an appearance on "The Greg Hill Show" on Friday.

"It's been surreal. I went from having about 3,000 [followers], and now I'm at 14,000. It's crazy. I've gotten quite a few DMs since that night. I got a couple baseball (DMs). But it was funny, somebody said something about how they accidentally hit their baseball (in my DMs) and asked me to throw it back." Lia Anthony said

"Oh my gosh. The people were amazing. It was an incredible experience. It was actually, this is my first time in Boston, and I had never been to Fenway… (The Red Sox) brought us to meet David Ortiz. It was just an unreal experience," Lia Anthony said, via NY Post.
"My mom, especially, was so touched by it, because David Ortiz had shared a couple words with her, talking about how incredible Roman is and how he’ll be the face of the franchise. And it’s all just so surreal to hear that, especially about your brother, who you’ve grown up watching and supported his whole life. I mean, the whole thing is just surreal," Lia added.
