On the field, the 2024 season was one to forget for the Atlanta Braves outfielder, as a knee injury sustained against the Pittsburgh Pirates in May forced him to miss a huge chunk of the season.

The Braves offense was less potent without the 2023 NL MVP, which led to them missing out on the NL East division title for the first time since 2018. Although they made it to the postseason, the San Diego Padres made light work of their challenge, eliminating them at the first hurdle.

For now, Ronald Acuna Jr. can afford to focus on spending plenty of time with his loved ones, before focusing again on baseball in the new year, with spring training set to begin in early February. Braves fans will be looking forward to the 2025 season, with their Venezuelan superstar set to make his much-anticipated return to the diamond.
