"Royals are getting another Rangers bestie" - Corey Seager's wife Madisyn gets emotional about 'the worst part of baseball goodbyes'

Goodbyes are always difficult; after the Kansas City Royals claimed outfielder Robbie Grossman off waivers from the Texas Rangers on Saturday, Corey Seager's wife, Madisyn, bid goodbye to Grossman's girlfriend, Amanda Sedley.

On Saturday, Madisyn posted a post where she was seen hugging Sedley while posting a heartfelt goodbye post on social media. Madisyn was joined by Claire Smith, Rangers' infielder Josh Smith's wife, to bid their goodbyes to Sedley.

"The worst part of baseball goodbyes," Madisyn wrote. "Love u big Amanda Sedley."
"Baseball goodbye are the worst goodbyes. The Royals are getting another Rangers bestie," Madisyn added.

It wasn't the first time Madison saw one of her besties go to Kansas City. Last month, the Rangers traded righty Michael Lorenzen to the Royals for southpaw Walter Pennington.

It meant that Madisyn had to bid goodbye to Lorenzen's wife Cassi, with whom she had made many memories.

With the postseason only a month away, the Royals added two MLB veterans to fill their squad before Sunday's deadline. Only players part of the organization before Sunday's deadline get to feature in the postseason.

The Royals claimed Tommy Pham off waivers from the Cardinals and Robbie Grossman off waivers from the Rangers.

“This time of year, you're very limited in how you can acquire players, and waivers is one way to do it,” Royals general manager J.J. Picollo said. “We had interest in [Pham and Grossman] at the Deadline. Obviously we didn't get them, but we just kind of kept monitoring … what they were doing, along with others, and we put in the claim the other day.
“It’s rare you get two guys in one day, but this is one of those cases that went our way. It should provide a lot of depth.”

It comes after Robbie Grossman was placed on outright waivers on Friday. The Rangers had to do so given they are not positioned well to make the playoffs, one year after they won the World Series.
