Salvador Perez's wife Maria Gabriela, Cole Ragans' spouse Tori react as Royals' catcher & ace outshine Aaron Judge, Juan Soto in ALDS Game 2
Salvador Perez and Cole Ragans were the stars in Game 2 of the ALDS between the Yankees and the Royals. Aaron Judge and Juan Soto failed for the Yanks in the 4-2 loss. The Yankees' superstar duo combined for just a single hit in six at-bats.
Perez hit a solo homer in the top of the fourth inning off of Carlos Rodon and tied the game 1-1. Moreover, The 34-year-old catcher was exceptional behind the plate. As for Ragans, the ace pitcher gave up only one run, three hits and struck out five in four innings.
Almost all the wives and girlfriends of the Royals players, including Perez's wife Maria Gabriela and Ragans' wife Tori were in attendance at Yankee Stadium. They expressed their happiness as the Royals won the game, courtesy of exceptional performances from their spouses.
Gabriela highlighted her husband's homer and postgame interview on his Instagram story. She captioned the post "Vamoooossss amigo!!! See you back in KC #blueoctober". The English translation of the Spanish words is "Come on friend."
Tori shared a hilarious story on Instagram of a friend's story that showed her and Ragans in a similar fired-up moment with the caption, "HAHAHA" as her friend had captioned the original story, "Same same but different."
Tori also shared another story, highlighting the Royals' victory with the caption, "I'm fired up!!! Can't wait to see everyone back at K!!!!!!
With the series tied at 1-1, the Royals will have the upper hand in Game 3 as they will enjoy home-town advantage at Kauffman Stadium. Clark Schmidt and Seth Lugo will be the starting pitchers for the Yankees and Royals, respectively.
