"She is a cheerleader" - Jackson Holliday's mom Leslee says 'incredibly athletic' daughter is more competitive than her talented brothers
Jackson Holliday carries the MLB legacy his father, Matt, established decades ago. It appears Ethan Holliday, the No.1 ranked player in the 2025 MLB Draft class, will do the same. While the brothers have attracted attention for their on-field efforts, their younger sister is just as competitive as them, if not more.
To discuss the matter, Matt and his wife, Leslee, recently appeared on the Pure Athlete podcast where they were asked about raising their four children. When talking about her youngest kids, Leslee complimented her daughter Gracyn's cheerleading abilities. The Holliday matriarch stated her 14-year-old exudes the same athleticism as her two older brothers and is also the most driven while competing at games like wiffleball.
"Gracyn, she is a cheerleader and so she tumbles and she cares a lot about that. She's really a good writer and I tell her that all the time and the thing about having a daughter mixed in with all these boys and obiously Matt playing baseball for so long, I have always prayed like 'Lord show me the the things she's really passionate about' so that I can make those things a really big deal.
"She's incredibly athletic, she's probably the most competitive kid we have. You play wiffle ball with her, forget about it. She just really hasn't had the opportunity to be completely honest with you because of all the moving around we've done and the boys doing their thing to play a team sport. So she tumbles and she'll try out for the cheerlader and then she does the competitive cheer team."
Leslee Holliday speaks about the youngest of the Holliday siblings
Also on the podcast, Leslee spoke about her youngest child, Reed. The 11-year-old is quite intersted in video games and sports. His parents give him the independence to express himself and determine his path.
"Reed, he's into everything. He's amazing at Fornite (laughs). He is a really good baseball player. He loves football and plays basketball, and he's so young, so we let him do whatever he wants to do. Hopefully, he finds something he's really passionate about, and we will support him in whatever that may be."
The Hollidays are among the most popular baseball families on social media. For now, all eyes are on big brother Jackson as his Orioles hold the top AL Wildcard.
