The Los Angeles Dodgers lived up to expectations as the NL West team bested the New York Yankees to win their second World Series title in five years earlier this week. While the Dodgers faithful celebrate their team's emphatic 4-1 triumph in the Fall Classic, a report claimed the Dodgers sold more tickets in 2024 than pop star Taylor Swift for her famed Eras Tour.
A post by Baseball Doesn't Exist's X, formerly Twitter, claimed that the Dodgers sold 4.36 million tickets compared to Swift's 4.35 million for her Eras Tour. The reported ticket sales are from December last year after Swift's first 60 concerts.
Baseball fans had hilarious reactions to the reports.

"Taylor Swift should have given away bobble head dolls," mocked another fan.
"The world is healing," claimed a fan.
The viral claim faced backlash as some fans highlighted that Swift has had more concerts since then and has a lower ticket price.
"149 shows by the time it’s done. If you assume 50,000 per show, that’s 7.5 million tickets," argued a fan.

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour kicked off in March 2023 with the pop icon going international with her concerts. She is performing in Indianapolis in the tour's last leg in the US.
Although the Dodgers lead in ticket sales as of now (assuming those numbers are accurate), Swift has a few concerts to go, and by the time her Eras Tour concludes in December, she is likely to overtake the reigning World Series winner's ticket sales.

Taylor Swift took over the NFL after her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Tragic Kelse was made public last year. While she has been a staple at several Chiefs games since she started dating Kelce, Swift accompanied her boyfriend to a baseball game earlier this month.
