During the post-match interview, Aaron Boone was asked about his thoughts on Judge's performance throughout May and how he influenced the final game against the Angels last night.
In reply, the Yankees skipper heaped praise on his team captain and said that his red-hot performance was a crucial instrument in setting the tempo of the games for the rest of his team throughout May.
"Yeah it was big. I've kind of felt like we needed a shot energy. Judges Homer got us going a little bit . I mean the fact that we're in May and all the questions about the slow start and you'll look up there in the season he's having just a special player doing special things about the two strings," Yankees manager said.
