Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Yankees: Game Summary

The Tampa Bay Rays were able to come away with a 3-2 win over the New York Yankees on Saturday in what was an incredibly competitive matchup. Aaron Judge got the Yankees going with a long home run in the first inning, but New York didn't do a ton of damage in this game.

The winning run in this game was scored in the 8th inning as Anthony Volpe made a key error at shortstop for the New York Yankees. That was the only error in the contest, but it allowed the Rays to score the decisive run.

Zack Littell got the win for the Diamondbacks on Saturday as he allowed just three hits in seven innings pitched. There were just five total hits given up by the Rays as their pitching staff was sharp throughout.

Ryan Yarbrough did not factor into the decision for the Yankees, tossing four solid innings. Mark Leiter Jr. got the loss for New York, and he is now 2-3 on the season.
