"That was disrespect out of Gleyber Torres" - Aaron Judge jokingly comments on Yankees' 2B tagging up on his homer, says he will 'let this one slide'

Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees made it two wins in two against the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday to take a 2-0 lead in the American League Championship Series.

A 6-3 win for the Bronx Bombers in front of their home crowd at Yankee Stadium was headlined by captain Aaron Judge's two-run home run, his first of the postseason this year.

While several fans and Yankees teammates were admiring Judge's moonshot over the center field wall in the seventh inning, Gleyber Torres was sprinting to second base before realizing it was a home run and got back to first.

Judge jokingly called out Torres' actions, saying the second baseman should've gotten used to this after watching the one-time AL MVP smash 58 home runs in the regular season.

"That was disrespect out of Gleyber, man. He's seen me hit 58 of those things this year," Judge said with a chuckle.

Following the game, Judge recalled being pissed when Torres had done the same thing during the regular season. However, he acknowledged it was the first base coach Travis Chapman egging Torres to tag up.

“He did that this year earlier, too, when I hit, so I was pretty pissed then. I was pretty pissed again! Chappy was telling him to tag up. I'll let this one slide," Judge said with a smile.

The Yankees second baseman has made a strong comeback in the second half of the season and has continued that run in the postseason. Following a leadoff double in the bottom first, Gleyber Torres scored the first run of the game after Brayan Rocchio's error on Aaron Judge’s pop fly.

Torres added two more singles in the game to make it a multi-hit game, reaching base more than once in five of the six postseason games this year. He was also on hand to drive in the second run of the game after Alex Verdugo's double in the second inning.
