"That Japanese swing doesn't handle depth" - Ex-Dodgers star Trevor Bauer trolls opponent during brutal swinging miss during Mexican League start
Trevor Bauer has never been one to shy away from expressing himself. The former National League Cy Young Award winner has been one of the most outspoken players of the modern generation, making himself one of the most polarizing players in the process.
The former Los Angeles Dodgers star has been attempting to earn another shot in the MLB after sexual assault allegations led to a lengthy suspension. He has been out of the majors following the allegations, even though he was not found guilty of any criminal activity.
Since then, Bauer has been plying his trade across the globe, playing in Japan last year with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. After a successful season, Bauer made the jump to the Mexican League, signing with the Diablos Rojos del Mexico. The move has paid off for Bauer, even though he has yet to land a new MLB contract.

The former All-Star starting pitcher has been using his social media platforms to not only highlight his performances but also his personality on the mound during games.
In one of his recent videos, Bauer broke down an impressive strikeout of his opponent. The star pitcher can be heard discussing his strategy saying, "That Japanese swing doesn't handle depth," before making the batter look silly.
Bauer went on to strike out his opponent by using a combination of offspeed pitches that the batter could not handle. The star pitcher finished off the performance with his strikeout gesture of returning a sword to its sheath.
Trevor Bauer has been incredible this season in Mexico
It remains to be seen if an MLB team will take a shot on Bauer this season. However, if that turns out to be the case, it will not have anything to do with ability. So far this year, the former Los Angeles Dodgers star has been incredible on the mound.
"Trevor Bauer pitched 8.2 innings yesterday while striking out 19 hitters in the Mexican league. Absolutely insane. Yet MLB doesn’t want him back in the league" - @BasebaIlKing
Through 81.0 innings this season, Trevor Bauer has posted an excellent 10-0 record with a 1.78 ERA, 0.975 WHIP, and 117 strikeouts. While there have been some questions surrounding the level of competition in the Mexican League, Bauer has been nearly untouchable on the mound.
