"That’s two freeze strikeouts that he missed this inning” – Ex-Dodger Trevor Bauer shares frustration with umpire before Mexican League strikeout

Trevor Bauer highlighted an impressive strikeout of one of his Mexican League opponents in a post on X. The former Cincinnati Reds ace used a combination of different pitches, which not only led to a strikeout but also showcased his pitch arsenal.

While Bauer's strikeout out was impressive, it did not come easily, as the umpire's allegedly questionable calls forced him to throw a few extra pitches.

"That’s two freeze strikeouts that he missed this inning," Bauer said to himself after the umpire called a ball on a pitch that looked inside the zone.

He would go on to record the strikeout, however, his frustration with the umpire was clear.

"Ball Never Lies," Bauer posted on X.

The former Los Angeles Dodgers star continues to thrive in the Mexican League this season. In an attempt to prove why he deserves another shot in the MLB, Bauer has been posting highlights from his Mexican League outings on his social media accounts.

Bauer has done a good job at keeping himself relevant by remaining active online while also showcasing that he has plenty of life left in his arm. It remains to be seen if an MLB team will take a shot on him this season.

Trevor Bauer has hinted at a potential lawsuit against the MLB if he does not sign with a team

An idea raised by Bill James, one of the leading figures in the development of baseball analytics, suggested that Bauer would likely win a lawsuit against the MLB if it did not encourage teams to sign him. Bauer has been out of the MLB since 2021 following allegations of sexual assault, which led to a lengthy suspension.

Trevor Bauer was eventually cleared of any criminal wrongdoing and has been trying to work his way back to the league. Bill James suggests that the league should encourage clubs to sign Bauer or the former Dodgers star could sue the league. The pitcher took to social media to say that he would "prefer not to go this route," however he "may have no other choice."

"I’d really prefer not to go this route but if I continue being kept out of baseball as I currently am I may have no other choice. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that and I’m allowed to return to my career that was taken from me over provably false allegations that never held any merit to begin with," Trevor Bauer posted on X.

If teams are reluctant to sign Trevor Bauer to an MLB contract right now, a potential lawsuit against the league could help him earn a large amount of money, however, it will not likely help build his reputation with clubs.
