"They're living their best life, and so am I" - Francisco Lindor gushes about having wife Katia and two daughters 'that close' during games
New York Mets red-hot hitter Francisco Lindor made his family's presence at Yankee Stadium memorable during the Subway Series game against the New York Yankees. On Wednesday, Lindor went 3-6, including three home runs, and contributed with five RBIs in the Mets' 12-3 win to sweep the crosstown rivals for the first time since 2003.
His wife, Katia and his two daughters, Kalina and Amapola Chloe, were in attendance at the game, cheering for dad at every at-bat. Lindor translated that cheer into a dominating outing, helping the Mets to a win.
After the game, Lindor was asked about the presence of his wife at the stadium, to which he replied:
"My daughters, that was pretty cool. That was really, really cool to be able to see my wife and my daughters and interact with them in the game and just show love to my daughters and my wife. I do it every day, but when they're that close, it's pretty cool. I was happy to have my girls there.
"She (Katia) loved it. She was talking the whole entire time. At one point I was like, baby girl, you got to pay attention to the game. You got to work. But she's in an age where she's amazing. They're in an age where they're living their best life, and so am I," he added.
Katia captures father-daughter moments of Francisco Lindor with his daughters
The next day, Katia posted a small video featuring glimpses from their time at Yankee Stadium. It was mostly centered around the father-daughter bond between Francisco Lindor and his elder daughter Kalina.
Each time Lindor was at the batting deck or was coming off his home run, he extended his hand to feel the touch of his daughter, which worked like a charm for him and his team, the Mets.
Francisco Lindor and Katia became parents to Kalina Joe on Nov. 4, 2020. A year later, the couple tied the knot, in Dec. 2021. Last June, they welcomed their second daughter, Amapola Chloe.
