"Things get vulnerable" - Jose Canseco's daughter Josie opens up about her on-screen meltdown during MTV's celeb reality show series
Jose Canseco's daughter, Josie, is a famous model and fashion influencer working with some of the top brands and magazines in America. She is currently a contestant in the eighth season of the show "Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets," which airs on MTV.
In one of the episodes, Josie had a meltdown while speaking with rapper O.T. Genasis as she got candid about her childhood, family and parents. She spoke about how certain aspects of her childhood left an indelible mark on her life. She took to her Instagram account to share a story about her on-screen meltdown on the reality TV show. The caption on the story read:
"Things get vulnerable tonight but ignore my stress break out. @surreallifemtv"
In conversation with Genasis, Josie said:
"I kind of wish my experience with it was a little bit more emotinal. I still feel like I can't fully get everything out. I am kind of struggling with like being vulnerable and so open and I think a big part of my like emotional journey has to do with my parents."
She added:
"Me and my parents are on great terms now, probably the best we have ever been. But there was a time when I hated both of them. Growing up they were always doing their own thing, they were always gone so I was just a very lone wolf. I don't want to like talk bad, them being my parents, but still it affects me a lot today... I had to figure out everything by myself."
Josie celebrated her father Jose Canseco's induction into the Oakland A's Hall of Fame
Jose Canseco's daughter shared a bunch of images from the legendary A's slugger's induction ceremony into the Hall of Fame on Sunday. Canseco began his major league journey with the Athletics in 1985, winning the World Series in 1989 and claiming five All-Star nods during that tenure.
He won another World Series championship before hanging up his cleats in 2001 with the White Sox. Jose Canseco was accompanied by his daughter at the Oakland Coliseum on Sunday afternoon. She captioned her Instagram story:
"My hero and best friend, I am so proud of you. Inducted into the Oakland's Hall of Fame today. Light work."
Josie's parents, Jessica and Jose Canseco, agreed to co-parent Josie after they split up in 2000. The model is close to both her parents, despite the family members living their own separate lives.
