Tommy Edman's wife Kristen poses with Dodgers wives in team gear ahead of NLCS Game 6
Tommy Edman's NLCS heroics helped the Dodgers win their 25th NL pennant in club history after Los Angeles defeated the New York Mets in Game 6 to set a World Series date with the New York Yankees this Friday.
The 29-year-old slugger went 2-5 on Sunday, including a two-run homer in a 10-5 victory, adding to his impressive total of 11 hits and 11 RBIs in the series, tying Corey Seager's previous RBI record in the playoff series.
Ahead of the game, Edman's wife, Kristen, reshared a post in which she posed alongside other Dodgers' wives and girlfriends who arrived at Dodger Stadium to cheer their husbands.
"Game 6 baby," she wrote.
The partners of Dodgers stars posed outside Dodger Stadium.
It seems the lady luck played part as the Dodgers didn't allow the series to extend further as they hope to secure another World Series after winning it last in 2020.
Tommy Edman named NLCS MVP, wife Kristen sheds tears
Tommy Edman hit .407 with 11 hits, a home run, 11 RBIs and five runs scored in the 2024 NLCS. This comes after he went hitless in 14 plate appearances in his last NLCS appearance with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2019 against the Washington Nationals.
The live broadcast saw Edman's wife Kristen shedding some tears after Edman was named the 2024 NLCS MVP.
Tommy Edman and Kristen reportedly met each other at Arizona State University. Kristen was a track and field athlete there. Moreover, in Poway High School, she also played softball. In 2017, from the California State University San Marcos (CSUSM), she graduated with her bachelor's degree in family studies, human development, and related services.
Right after the 2019 NLCS, in November, the couple tied the knot. Earlier in late 2023, the couple welcomed their first son Eli, who's now almost a year old and was spotted during the celebration of NLDS triumph.
“Family, for sure, is a priority,” Edman said in May. “Getting to hang out with my son and see him grow these first six months has been special. It's been fun seeing him respond to me and recognize me. You can see him learning more and more and how his brain is developing crazy amounts every day. So that's been cool.”
With family behind him, Tommy Edman aims to have a good World Series and add a ring to his resume.
