Top MLB DFS Picks Today: DraftKings ft. Brenton Doyle, Ryan Pepiot & More | August 26
Most, but not all, MLB teams are playing on Monday, which is good for Daily Fantasy Sports players. They'll have plenty of options from the league's best hitters, and there are more than a few quality starting pitchers with good matchups today. Here's who to keep an eye on.
Top Pitchers for MLB DFS August 26
Ryan Pepiot ($8200 on DraftKings)
Ryan Pepiot has been good for the Tampa Bay Rays this year. He's 7-5 with a 3.65 ERA, 104 strikeouts and a 1.06 WHIP. He gets a fantastic matchup with the strikeout-heavy and struggling Seattle Mariners today.
Bailey Ober ($9200 on DraftKings)
Bailey Ober does have to face the Atlanta Braves, who are playing fairly well right now, but he's been a good pitcher this year. The Minnesota Twins ace is 12-5 with a 3.54 ERA, 145 strikeouts and a sterling 0.99 WHIP.
Bryce Miller ($8900 on DraftKings)
Bryce Miller has a good matchup with the mediocre Tampa Bay Rays today. Plus, the Seattle Mariners pitcher has been pretty decent this year. He is 9-7 with a 3.32 ERA, 133 strikeouts and a 1.02 WHIP.
Top Hitters for MLB DFS August 26
Brenton Doyle ($6000 on DraftKings)
Brenton Doyle returns home to Coors Field, where the Colorado Rockies have had a much better offensive performance. Doyle for the season is playing very well with a .269 average, 21 home runs, 63 RBI and a .800 OPS.
Jake Burger ($5600 on DraftKings)
Jake Burger is one of the few remaining Miami Marlins who is having a decent season. He's hitting .246 with 25 home runs and 57 RBI for an OPS that's a little under .800.
Rafael Devers ($5800 on DraftKings)
Rafael Devers is one of baseball's best hitters. The Boston Red Sox star is hitting .293 with 28 home runs, 80 RBI and a .952 OPS. All those metrics are in the top 19 of all qualified hitters this year.
Budget picks for MLB DFS August 26
Otto Lopez ($3800 on DraftKings)
Otto Lopez got a hit and an RBI for the Miami Marlins in his most recent game, so he is seeing the ball a little better lately than his season metrics would suggest. He's cheap and has a good matchup today, so he could be a nice budget addition to DFS lineups.
Kerry Carpenter ($4400 on DraftKings)
Kerry Carpenter has only played in 60 games this year, but the Detroit Tigers player's numbers are great: .280, 12 home runs, 37 RBI and a .917 OPS. Those are fantastic stats for a player so cheap.
Jonah Bride ($4300 on DraftKings)
Jonah Bride is hitting .273 with an OPS of .810. This is in a small sample size of just 121 at-bats, but those numbers are hard to find in this price range. Pick the Marlins infielder and reap the benefits today for DFS.
