Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider believes future opponents will keep eye out for New York Yankees bending the rules

The series between division rivals New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays was hotly contested. After a four game series that made more noise off the field, Blue Jays manager John Schneider added certain comments of his own to fuel the fire between both teams.

Allegations of cheating were made against the Yankees during the series, with an incident involving Aaron Judge allegedly looking to his bench before hitting a home run off Jay Jackson in the eighth inning of the second game. While Judge explained that he was attempting to call a timeout due to constant chirping from the Yankees' dugout, the Blue Jays called them out for potentially tapping the pitcher.

In an interview on the MLB Network, John Schneider expressed his belief that other teams should also be cautious of the New York Yankees' tactics in the future. He expected his team to address the issue of tipping pitches, which he felt had cost them crucial games against the Yankees.

"I think it's two division teams who are both good and enjoy competing against one another. Us like every other team in baseball I think they are very aware of pitcher's tendencies or tips or whatever it maybe. We try to be as buttoned up as we maybe with those...
"I think every other team that plays the Yankees will be on guard for probably what happened in the last four games, which is what is is." Schneider said.

The Blue Jays lost three out of the four games in a series that was crucial in the standings as New York was two games behind Toronto at the start of the series. Currently the Yanks have overturned that as they are two games ahead at this current juncture.

Schneider says it's important to contain Aaron Judge first while playing the New York Yankees

The Blue Jays skipper also maintained that while playing the New York Yankees teams' strategy should be hold up captain Aaron Judge early on in the game.

"Looking back at the series too, if you can handle Aaron Judge then you're in a good starting spot... For us three out of four games we had good starting pitching and that is kind of the series in a nutshell," Schneider added.

The Blue Jays are currently tied up with another one of their division rivals, the Orioles in a three game series.
