Trea Turner's wife Kristen makes feelings known about International Justice Mission, thanking J.T. Realmuto's spouse Lexi for introducing the NPO
Shortstop Trea Turner's wife, Kristen, posted a series of Instagram stories on Wednesday to raise awareness about the International Justice Mission, also thanking Lexi Realmuto, the spouse of her husband's teammate JT Realmuto, for initially acquainting her with the organization and the work that it does.
The International Justice Mission is a nonprofit that works to protect vulnerable individuals from human trafficking and other forms of exploitation.
"Thank you @ltrealmuto for introducing us to an amazing cause! @ijm does amazing work to end human trafficking" Kristen Turner captioned an Instagram story.
Just like Lexi Realmuto spread the word about the International Justice Mission to Kristen Turner and also Jessica Castellanos, Nick Castellanos' wife, it appears she has also told several others in the Philadelphia Phillies camp about the NPO, such as reliever Jeff Hoffman's wife, Marissa, and base-running coach Paco Figueroa's wife, Natalia. Their posts raising awareness about the IJM were subsequently reshared by Kristen Turner via Instagram stories.
Trea Turner's wife Kristen shares adorable Thanksgiving family snap on Instagram
On Instagram in early December, Phillies shortstop Trea Turner's wife, Kristen, shared an adorable family snap to celebrate Thanksgiving, featuring her two sons, Beckham and Tatum.
"Sweetest moments from Thanksgiving," Turner captioned her post.
On the field, Turner had a strong regular season, batting .295, along with 21 home runs and 62 homers. Along with his obvious hitting talent, his blistering pace was also an important asset for the Phillies as they won the NL East championship for the first time since 2011, ending the Atlanta Braves' recent dominance in the division.
However, despite finishing the division crown, it was yet again the familiar story of postseason heartbreak for Trea Turner, as the Phillies were comprehensively beaten by the New York Mets in the NLDS.
For now, Turner can take his mind off baseball and focus instead on spending quality time with his wife and kids. The focus shifts back to baseball in the new year, with spring training set to begin in February.
