WATCH: Aaron Judge fooled by Logan Paul and KSI's hilarious 62nd home run ball prank
Aaron Judge is currently on pace to match his 62 home run-hitting record-breaking season two years back. When he achieved the feat in 2022, he was unable to grab hold of the home run ball and keep it to himself. YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI took advantage of that as they pulled a prank on the Yankees captain.
In a recent video posted on the Prime Drink's X account, the two online celebrities met up with Judge as part of a promotional video for their brand. Back in April, it was announced that the Yankees slugger signed an endorsement contract with the hydration company.
In the video, Paul reminds the 32-year-old of the 62nd home run hit that went into the stands. The video then cuts to a disappointed Aaron Judge telling the media that he wishes he had gotten hold of the ball.
The fan had sold off the priced collection for $1.5 million at an auction. Paul and his partner KSI then present him with a ball which Judge takes to be the historic one.
As Judge walks away to talk to his wife Samantha, Paul and KSI could be seen discussing who would be the one to break it to him about the prank.
Aaron Judge becomes 5th player to have three 50 home run seasons
Aaron Judge went yard for the seventh time in six games with two home runs against the Colorado Rockies on Sunday. These were his 50th and 51st home runs of the season.
The outfielder became just the fifth player in the history of the MLB to have hit more than 50 home runs in three or more seasons, having achieved it in 2017 and 2022 previously.
Judge has a realistic chance of breaking numerous records with 31 games left on the schedule. As per him, he is not concerned about the numbers currently.
"I got to this point trying to be a good hitter and a good teammate, so that’s what I’m going to try to do,” Judge said, via MLB.com. “I feel like if I can do that, we can look up at the end of the year, and I think the numbers will be where they’re supposed to be."
The Yankees will take on the Washington Nationals in a three-game series, starting on Monday, next.
