WATCH: Alex Rodriguez hypes up Anthony Edwards & Co. following Timberwolves Game 4 victory on the road

Alex Rodriguez has minority ownership in the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves and WNBA's Minnesota Lynx. The former has made big strides in the NBA this season, beating the defending champions, the Denver Nuggets, to reach the Western Conference finals. However, there they faced the Dallas Mavericks, who won three straight games to start the series.

With the Timberwolves staring at elimination in Game 4, the boys triumphed and forced Game 5, which will be played on their home court. Anthony Edwards & Co. led the Timberwolves to a 105-100 victory.

After the game, A-Rod greeted the players at the exit of the tunnel, where he gave them a confidence-boosting hug. Beside him was his girlfriend, Jaclyn Cordeiro. He shared this moment on social media.

"Never give up, never surrender," he wrote in the caption on Instagram.

There hasn't been one game this playoff season where Alex Rodriguez couldn't be spotted on the sidelines. The Timberwolves have also enjoyed success but now they are in a deep hole, one loss away from cutting their incredible run short.

They will face Dallas on Thursday in what would be another elimination game for them.

Off the court, A-Rod and his partner Marc Lore made an agreement with the majority owner, Glen Taylor, to purchase a 40% stake in the franchise ownership. However, Glen Taylor dismissed the agreement a few weeks ago, as Forbes reported, because of delayed payments from the buying side.

Alex Rodriguez and his partner are not having it with them, saying they have already submitted the paperwork required to trigger a 90-day extension period during which they can pay the $600 million amount, per Forbes.

One reason why Taylor might want to dismiss the agreement is perhaps in part due to the rise in the valuation of the franchise.

Mediations have occurred between the two parties but nothing material has come out of it. This has led Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore to take their case forward to arbitration.
