WATCH: Astros' Kyle Tucker goes yard twice after ditching green-cleats mid-game vs. Brewers

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker was magical in Sunday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers. After a rough start to the game, a simple change dramatically turned the night.

On Sunday’s game between the Houston Astros and the Milwaukee Brewers, Tucker changed his green cleats to orange cleats.

“Kyle Tucker's not superstitious... but he is a little stitious” Fox Sports captioned the video on X.

Tucker started the game against the Milwaukee Brewers with three strikeouts while wearing green cleats. He was not making proper contact with the pitches, and frustration crept in. Then he did something unexpected.

He decided to get rid of the green cleats and switched to orange cleats. Just after the change, he was seen hitting his 14th and 15th home runs of the season in the sixth and seventh innings, respectively. This was also his sixth multi-home run game of his career.

“I just didn’t really have a great first three at-bats with them and I just decided to come in and swap them back out for my other cleat. It ended up pretty well.” said Tucker postgame as per MLB.com

For baseball players, the feel and comfort of their cleats are important. The appropriate footwear may make a huge impact on how a player swings the bat and moves about the field.

Astros manager is impressed with Kyle Tucker

Kyle Tucker has caught everyone’s eye, especially manager Joe Espada's, with his performance.

“He’s playing at a different level right now. He’s a really, really good player,” said manager Joe Espada on Sunday.

Kyle Tucker has performed well this year. His power (15 home runs), combined with his speed on the basepaths (seven stolen bases), makes him a real threat to opposing teams.

“I just try and get good pitches over the plate and try to barrel them up, and they just happen to fall for homers,” said Tucker in an interview after Sunday's game.

On Sunday, the Astros won over the Brewers by 9-4 following Tucker's exploits, who is hitting .287 with 33 RBIs this season.

If Tucker continues to maintain this form, that would be great for the Astros.
