Watch: Cubs fans skip wedding dance for a game of catch in team jerseys

Baseball has often been termed as one of America's favorite pastime. Fans are incredibly passionate about the sport and usher all their love and support toward their favorite teams day in and day out.

There have been many instances of surprising incidents of fans taking the spotlight for something they did out of the love they have for the sport. One such incident recently came to light when a father-daughter duo chose to play catch instead of their wedding dance.

A video recently emerged on X/Twitter, shared by Jomboy Media, where they stopped their wedding dance and started to play catch while wearing Chicago Cubs jerseys instead.

Cubs off to a decent start in 2024 regular season

The Chicago Cubs have been off to a great start so far this season. The team is currently in third position in the NL Central with a 28-29 record.

The Cubs' offseason signing Shota Imanaga has been one of the most impressive players of the club so far this season. The Japanese star has made 10 starts for the team and has been nothing short of exceptional during that period. He holds a 5-1 record, with an ERA of 1.86, a WHIP of 1.00 and has 59 strikeouts to his name this season.

The club has recently found itself in a two-game losing streak, after getting thrashed 3-1 in their four-game series on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers. They lost the opening game, 5-1 on Tuesday, before claiming their only win in the series in the second game, 6-3 on Wednesday.

The Cubs then lost the third and fourth games, 10-6 and 6-4, respectively, with the final game being played yesterday at American Family Field.

The Cubs have a new three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds, starting on Friday, and manager Craig Counsell and Co. will look to win the opening game and get back to winning ways.
