WATCH: Hunter Greene pukes for fourth time in his career, registers a dominant outing

Cincinnati Reds starter Hunter Greene puking on the mound is not a new story. However, there's a good precedent when he does. He puked for the fourth time in his career on Tuesday against St. Louis and likewise registered a dominant outing.

During the fifth inning of the game, Greene, while on his way to the mound following a play, puked into his glove. However, there were no concerns over his health.

The last time Hunter Greene puked was in June against the Pittsburgh Pirates. At the time, he had only thrown seven pitches, and excessive heat was the reason behind it.

Building on to his Cy Young case, the 25-year-old was electric on the mound, pitching seven innings while allowing only one run and registering eight strikeouts. He helped his ERA to 2.83 after 24 starts where he went 9-4.

Even opposing team manager Oli Marmol reserved his praise for the pitcher in his post-game interaction.

"He's got power stuff, man. But you have to beat those types of guys, and he's created problems for a lot of teams over his last stretch. He's done a really nice job. It doesn't matter if you're a righty or a lefty—there's not a whole lot of production against him, and he continued that tonight," Marmol said after the game.
"He gave us trouble. His fastball was electric, and the other stuff played off it well. He's a tough at-bat, even for lefties, to be quite honest. There were even more punch-outs against him as well. But yeah, he was on tonight. He was good."

David Bell is unsure about the reason behind Hunter Greene's puking

Reporters asked Reds manager David Bell if there were any concerns with Hunter Greene following his latest puking incident.

"No, no I do. I didn't see it at the moment," Bell said.
"We're not exactly sure what's happening. I think he feels better after it happens. I think a lot of us feel like throwing up during the game sometimes, and, that doesn't come out, so maybe he just feels better after that," Bell added.

With their latest win, the Reds improved to 59-61. However, they are still a long shot away from making the postseason.
