WATCH: Isaac Collins' brother's proud reaction watching Brewers star make MLB debut against Rockies captured by reporter wife

Reporter Claudia Collins was watching baseball with her husband Roman Collins as his brother Isaac Collins, who plays for the Milwaukee Brewers, made his MLB debut. The couple were watching from home, but their excitement was palpable in the video.

Claudia, who works for a couple of Arizona-based MLB outlets, including Bally Sports Arizona, shared the interaction which went viral. At the time of writing, her tweet had accumulated over 150 retweets and 5,000 likes.

Brewers star Collins took one pitch before lacing his first MLB hit back up the middle. The reporter, who covers the Arizona Diamondbacks primarily, said:

"Today my brother-in-law made his MLB debut for the Brewers. Let’s just say his first at-bat was decent…Melted my heart to see my husband so proud of his little brother. We can’t wait to watch you against the Dbacks next weekend!!"

Collins' husband, whose excitement was the central focus of the now-viral post, played minor league baseball. He didn't make it to the MLB, which only adds to the touching nature of his evident pride for his younger brother.

Brewers can't ride high of Isaac Collins' first hit to win

The Milwaukee Brewers had very few good moments in Isaac Collins' debut. The player's single was one of just three hits (all singles) recorded throughout the day. They fell to the Colorado Rockies 4-1 and lost the series 2-1.

Overall, they are 2-5 to start the month. They've kept the Chicago Cubs at arm's length with a nine-game lead, but they've failed to bury them and gain ground on the NL's best record.

Shortstop Willy Adames said, via MLB.com:

“Tough week. It’s just baseball. That's how it's gonna go. You're not gonna score 10 every time. I wish, but it’s not gonna happen. … We’ve just gotta move forward, and go to San Francisco and be better.”

Manager Pat Murphy said that it was a tough game as well, remarking on the fact that the team couldn't muster more than three singles, which never happens to them.
