Juan Soto, a first-time All-Star with the NY Yankees, turned up in style for the 2024 MLB All-Star red carpet event. He rocked a light blue suit for the event, showcasing proper Dominican style in Alrington, Texas.
The lefty slugger, asked about what his favorite meal, gave a characteristic response:
"My favorite meal has got to be a Dominican dish you know something we can't miss."
Take a look at the short interview here:
Juan Soto became a four-time All-Satr after receiving the nod this year, the first time in his maiden season in the Bronx. He had signed a one-year, $31 million contract with the Yankees during the offseason and has been simply brilliant in 2024.
After playing for the NL All-Stars three years in a row from 2021 to 2023, this was the first time he played for the AL All-Stars, and its safe to say that he didn't disappoint. Soto is hitting with an average of .295 with 23 home runs, 66 RBIs and .985 OPS this season.
This season, he has played an amazing second fiddle to Yankees captain Aaron Judge, who has been leading the offensive stats. Soto has claimed a World Series title with the Nationals in 2019 and was also the NL batting champion in 2020.
Since his move to the Bronx, Soto has breathed fresh life into an ailing roster, which has helped them to a 58-40 record and just one game behind AL East leaders Baltimore Orioles.
Juan Soto drove in two-runs against the NL All-Stars in the Midsummer Classic
The Yankees startling lefty slugger showcased his class at the plate against the NL All-Stars on Tuesday night.
He drew a walk against Paul Skenes in his first at-bat and smashed a powerful base hit against Logan Webb in his second at-bat to drive in two vital runs for the AL All-Star in the third inning of the Midsummer Classic.
Juan Soto's great at-bats will be crucial as he takes the pressure off Aaron Judge. The Yankees will hope that the Dominican continues to do so as they chase the AL pennant title and the World Series this year.
