WATCH: Juan Soto shows off dance moves in the dugout during Yankees vs. Dodgers game
Juan Soto, who has been sidelined for the game against the Los Angeles Dodgers due to an injury on Friday, found himself vibing in the New York Yankees dugout during the inning break. The in-house DJ at Yankee Stadium played Mi Lindo Nayarit, a song by Banda El Recodo & Banda El Pueblito.
While the song was playing, Soto couldn't help but bust out some dance moves along with his one fellow teammate, who also followed in his footsteps as the club rejoiced in the dugout.
Mi Lindo Nayarit from artists Banda El Recodo & Banda El Pueblito was part of their album named "Celebrando a Mexico para el Mundo," Volume 2 and was released in 1999.
Juan Soto day-to-day while nursing his forearm inflammation
The Yankees fans were left surprised when Juan Soto didn't return at the start of the sixth inning following a 56-minute halt in play due to rain on Thursday in the game against the Minnesota Twins.
Later, the team confirmed that Soto had a sore left forearm and the Yankees didn't want him to put it under stress after a long delay in the game. In the press conference, Soto said he has been carrying this forearm issue for a week but it hasn't hindered his swinging abilities.
On Friday, imaging was done on his forearm, which revealed an inflammation. There was no structural damage found in the elbow, a sigh of relief for the Yankees.
Right now, the club has placed him day-to-day, with him expected to return later in the series against the Dodgers.
"Good news," Yankees manager Aaron Boone said about Soto's injury. "Obviously, waiting on those results -- I think grand scheme of things, we got some good news. Just inflammation in there. We'll start some medicine and right now treat him as day-to-day."
"It could be the whole series, we'll see," Boone added. "He may even be an option late in the game. Who knows? We'll see where we're at in a few hours."
Friday's game was the first time Juan Soto was scratched from the lineup this season. While Boone said that he may not need a longer rest for this injury, it's all about how Soto feels, and fans will only hope to see him sooner rather than later.
