While the rest of the MLB world is on the edge of their seats watching the playoffs, Paul Skenes is busy enjoying his offseason with Olivia Dunne at LSU's gymnastics facility. Skenes would have liked to pitch in the postseason, but the Pittsburgh Pirates didn't qualify as they finished their season 76-86, 13.0 games away from the final NL Wild Card spot, which was claimed by the New York Mets (89-73).
Skenes, who made his debut earlier in May, threw a gem of a season, finishing with 11-3 and a 1.96 ERA, placing him among the top contenders for the NL Rookie of the Year award.
Olivia Dunne, who is returning to play her fifth and final season with the LSU Tigers, captured Paul Skenes having fun attempting to make some acrobatic moves. To say the least, it was more of a layman's attempt to do gymnastics and Livvy had fun recording him and letting her followers get in on what Skenes is like off the mound.
Olivia Dunne also gave her boyfriend some ratings based on his move. She rated Paul Skenes 6/10 on the floor, 5/10 on the beam, 8/10 on the flip and 10/10 for simply racing down to get into the foam pit. She gave a 2/10 to Skenes since he struggled and got frustrated getting out of the foam pit afterward. But an 8/10 for taking Livvy to the pit himself.

The Pittsburgh Pirates rookie doesn't post as much as social media star Olivia Dunne does. But after concluding his season with his final start coming against the New York Yankees, where he threw two perfect innings, Paul Skenes posted a series of photos involving Livvy while greeting Dunne on her birthday on Oct. 1.
"Happy birthday Liv!❤️" he wrote in caption.
Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes know each other from their time representing LSU Tigers in college gymnastics and college baseball, respectively. The duo started dating each other two years ago and despite the long distance due to the latter's baseball schedule, the relationship hasn't been affected.
After winning the College World Series in 2023, Skenes entered the 2023 MLB draft, where he was picked first overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Meanwhile, Dunne was part of the LSU roster that won the NCAA championship in April. She aims to defend the title after she announced her return in July.
While Skenes has an offseason to relax and enjoy, Dunne has an upcoming season on her hands.
