WATCH: Phillies host pride night with stunning anthem performance by gay men's chorus group
On Monday, the Philadelphia Phillies held their annual Pride Night. All members of the LGBTQ+ community were invited to come out to the ballpark and have a grand time.
The first 3,000 fans who purchased tickets received a voucher for a Pride Night fanny pack. Outside of the fanny pack, the team also provided some pregame entertainment.
Like in 2023, the Philadelphia Gay Men's Chorus was invited to sing the National Anthem ahead of the first pitch. And like last season, they did another tremendous job.
All in all, it was a great day for the community and the organization. With all the rainbow flags in the stands, the Phils were able to make light work of the San Diego Padres.
The Phillies are not the only club hosting a Pride Night
Across the month of June, 29 MLB teams will host a Pride Night. While many of them have already taken place, like the Phillies on Monday, there are a few more just beyond the horizon.
The Cleveland Guardians will host their Pride Night on June 21 against the Toronto Blue Jays. The first 10,000 fans will be given a Pride shirt, while others can receive a Block C Pride flag as part of an additional ticket package.
Another team scheduled to host their Pride Night later this month is the Baltimore Orioles. They will host theirs on June 27 against the Texas Rangers.
They have been one of the teams that the LGBTQ+ community has given huge praise to. Last year, they painted a Progress Pride flag in center field, changed their social media, and hung banners all over. This year, they will give a Pride jersey to the first 10,000 fans for the promotion to the excitement of plenty of fans.
