WATCH: Rockies pitcher Cal Quantrill's fiery exchange with Red Sox's catcher Reese McGuire clears benches
After splitting the first two games, the Colorado Rockies and the Boston Red Sox started the last game of their series on Wednesday at Coors Field. The Rockies' offense was on fire, jumping to an 8-1 lead in the first three innings.
However, the fourth inning saw both teams' benches clear after a heated exchange between two players. Rockies pitcher Cal Quantrill was excited after getting Red Sox catcher Reese McGuire to fly out.
Quantrill's yelling remarks made McGuire angry. That led to a heated argument between the two players, and both benches cleared as teammates intervened to break up the confrontation.
“You jacked off in a f***ing parking lot, you dumb f**k,” Cal Quantrill appeared to say, which led to the incident.

The situation calmed down after both teams' dugouts emptied. No players were ejected, and Cal Quantrill stayed in the game.
During his time with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2020, McGuire was arrested for allegedly masturbating in a parking lot near the team's spring training facility. He pleaded no contest and was fined $450.
