"We're not talking about Juan Soto" - Justin Verlander's brother thinks Aaron Judge's exploits overshadowing Yankee teammate's exceptional season

MLB analyst and Justin Verlander's brother, Ben Verlander, talked about how Juan Soto's exceptional season isn't being discussed enough due to Aaron Judge's accomplishments this season.

In the latest video on his YouTube channel, Flippin' Bats with Ben Verlander, the host discussed how Judge's exceptional season is overshadowing the performance of other hitters in the American League.

"Juan Soto is hitting .300 with almost 40 homers and an on base percentage through the roof, as it always is. Leads the American League in walks, a career high in homers, and we're not even really talking about him," Verlander said. (5:14)
"I'm not even saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying it's because what Aaron Judge is doing is so good, it doesn't matter what anyone else in the American League is doing."

Aaron Judge whacks a pair of homers as Yankees rout the Rockies

The New York Yankees sealed another series win on Sunday, beating the Colorado Rockies 10-3 at Yankee Stadium.

The game started off with the visitors taking the lead, but the hosts' strong offense eventually paid dividends as Juan Soto, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton all hit home runs. Starter Marcus Stroman registered a quality start as he struck out five and conceded three runs in five innings.

The Yankees captain added to his home run tally, hitting his 50th and 51st home runs of the season. With 31 games still to play, Judge is well on pace to surpass his own record of 62 home runs in a single season by an AL player, which he set in 2022.

His stats for the 2024 season: .333 batting average, 51 home runs and 122 RBIs.

Next, the Yankees take on the Washington Nationals in Game 2 of their away series. Having won the series opener 5-2, they will be looking at potentially clinching the series in Tuesday's game.
