"We will miss you" - Byron Buxton's wife Lindsey sends heartwarming message as Max Kepler parts ways from Twins
Byron Buxton's wife Lindsey recently revealed the close bond one of their three sons shares with Max Kepler, who has signed a $10 million deal with the Philadelphia Phillies. Kepler and Buxton were teammates on the Twins for 10 years, with both debuting in the big league in 2015.
On Friday, Lindsey reposted the Twins' official Instagram post thanking Kepler for his services and bidding farewell. One of the images on the post was of the German celebrating with Buxton.
Lindsey reposted this specific image through her Instagram story, along with the caption:
"Brix's 1st favorite player. We will miss you 26."
"26" refers to Kepler's jersey number, while "Brix" is a nickname for Byron and Lindsey Buxton's oldest son, Brixton, born in 2013. The couple also has two younger sons: Blaze, born in 2020, and Baire, born in 2023.
Despite leaving a team he played for the last 10 years, Kepler will likely be happy as he is going to the Phillies, who have better odds than the Twins to win the World Series next year. The Twins missed the postseason this year, and their ownership already expressed interest in selling the team.
