World Series champions Yordan Alvarez, Yuli Gurriel and Yanier Diaz also congratulated Alex Bregman on Sunday.

"Well deserved," Diaz wrote in his Instagram story.

Bregman's first Gold Glove win with the Astros could be his last with the franchise as the All-Star third baseman will be a free agent in the offseason. Bregman has been with the Astros for the entirety of his MLB career, making his debut with the team in 2016.

Alex Bregman and his wife Reagan Elizabeth react to the Gold Glove win

Alex Bregman is the first Astros third baseman to win the Gold Glove Award since Doug Rader's five consecutive wins with the team from 1970–1974. Bregman was elated with the win, thanking everyone for the support, including former Padres coordinator, Ryan Barba.

“I just want to say ‘Thank you’ to every current and past coaches and teammates that have made this possible and especially, ‘Thank you’ to Ryan Barba, who we dreamed about this when we were taking ground balls at 15 years at the University of New Mexico,” Bregman told MLB.com
“I’m pretty pumped and it’s an honor to win, especially with such great nominees from the American League.”

Bregman's wife Reagan Elizabeth shared an Instagram story reacting to the news.

"Proud of you @abreg_1," she wrote in her story.

The Astros are expected to table an offer for Bregman in free agency but they might find it tough to get his signature as teams will be looking at the All-Star slugger with limited options available at third base this offseason.
