In January 2021, Jose Canseco's daughter Josie Canseco severed ties with her father after the former Oakland Athletics star's Twitter tirade inflamed relations with her ex-flame Logan Paul.
According to Josie, her father ought to have acted his age, calling his actions 'selfishly embarassing'. She revealed the sensational details on the “Between Good and Evil” podcast.
“My dad’s been going on a f–king rampage on Twitter calling out Logan, calling out Jake (Paul), just being so selfishly embarrassing,” Josie said. Normally if a dad wanted to start a ‘fake Twitter beef’ or whatever, he’d be like, ‘Hey, do you mind if I call out your boyfriend and call him weak and this and that for attention?’"
Josie went on with her rant and said that she opted to block him on Twitter out of embarrassment.
"I have no idea (if he’s joking). He’s blocked right now, to be completely honest. We haven’t spoken. … When it comes back to character and integrity, I don’t f–k with those selfish moves. He’s just embarrassing. ‘What are you doing, Father? Dad, help. Explain to me, please. Why are you being this way?’ I went off. I ripped him a new a–hole. He’s like, ‘I’m a grown man; you won’t tell me what I can and cannot say.'”
Josie feels considering her father's great MLB career, the situation seemed perplexing.
Former MLB player José Canseco was active from 1985 to 2001. During his stint in the major leagues, he won two World Series championships (1989, 2000). However, his career achievements were later tainted by his admission of using performance-enhancing drugs.

Josie Canseco, daughter of former MLB icon, Jose Canseco, recently claimed on Instagram that her father left them in debt for years after blowing his wealth.
"Everyone claiming I came from all this rich money because I'm a 'canseco', do ur research," Josie wrote in a now-deleted IG post. "My 'family money' was blown by the time I was 6/7 (because of )bankruptcy, n I had to work my ass off to not only sustain my 'family name' but also pay my bills cause no one paid that s--- except me. My family is broke, and I dont get the advance of a family that was rich."

In February, Josie was spotted with her father, Jose at the 2023 Cactus Jack Foundation HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic at Minute Maid Park.
