When is the MLB Draft Round 2? No. of picks, latest update, and more
The opening round of the 2024 MLB Draft is underway at Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Following the first round, Competitive Balance Round A (10 picks) will take place before Round 2 selections get underway.
Each round has 30 picks, and there are almost 20 rounds across the three-day draft process. After Round 2, the Competitive Balance Round called off Sunday night's draft proceedings.
On Monday, Rounds 3–10 will be in action, while on the next day, Rounds 11–20 will be called in the 2024 MLB Draft.

Travis Bazzana from the Oregon State Beavers was selected first overall by the Cleveland Guardians in the 2024 MLB Draft.
With the second overall, Chase Burns from Wake Forest was selected by the Cincinnati Reds. Colorado Rockies picked Charlie Condon from Georgia with their third overall selection.
Nick Kurtz and Hagen Smith went to Oakland Athletics and Chicago White Sox respectively as fourth and fifth overall. With Round 1 of the 2024 MLB Draft completed, here are the first 30 selections.
