Who is Joe Mauer's wife Maddie Bisanz? Exploring the off-field life of Twins' 2024 Hall of Fame inductee

Former AL MVP Joe Mauer was among the latest inductees to be enshrined in Hall of Fame, joining Adrian Beltre, Jim Leyland and Todd Helton for a place in Cooperstown. All the four new HOF members had an induction ceremony where they expressed their thanks and a reflection on their major league career.

On Sunday, at the Clark Sports Center, the Minnesota Twins icon thanked his wife Maddie Bisanz for being supportive in his career.

Who is Joe Mauer's wife, Maddie Bisanz?

Maddie Bisanz went to the same high school as Joe Mauer, Cretin-Derham Hall High School, a private Catholic school in St. Paul, Minnesota. The couple met there and started dating before tying the knot in December 2012 at the chapel at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.

They also hosted a reception at The Depot in downtown Minneapolis, where they invited friends and family, including his teammates Brian Duensing, Glen Perkins, Jim Thome, J.J. Hardy and Orlando Hudson.

Before marrying Joe, Maddie worked as a nurse in St. Paul Area, but she dropped her job to raise her family. The couple welcomed their twin daughters, Emily Teresa and Maren Virginia, on July 24, 2013. Five years later, on November 14, 2018, they became parents to a boy, who they named, Charles “Chip” Joseph.

In 2018, the couple went to Cretin-Derham Hall High School to meet and interact with the youth and sharing their journey when they were student.

During his Hall of Fame speech on Sunday, Joe Mauer credited Maddie for holding down the fort while he was on road trips.

"And Maddie, I cannot thank you enough for all that you do for me and our family. You wear many hats. You are an incredible wife, mother, mentor, role model, keeper of everyone's schedules, and as I call you, the curator of fun in our family. And somehow you manage to do this, do it all, with patience and grace," Mauer said via Star Tribune.
"You've been a staple of love, support and guidance all while holding down the fort so I could go out and play the game that I love. The kids and I are so grateful for all that you do and so blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you for everything, honey. I love you."

In his post retirement life, Joe Mauer continues to be attached with baseball while helping the community with his experience. According to CBS, last year, he coached his community baseball team named Highland Friendship Club.
