Who is Todd Helton's wife Christy? Everything we know about the 2024 Hall of Famer's personal life

Colorado Rockies icon Todd Helton was the latest inductee into the National Baseball Hall of Fame alongside Adrian Beltre, Jim Leyland and Joe Mauer in an induction ceremony organized on Sunday at the Clark Sports Center.

Helton was the first to take the podium and was nervous to speak with his family, including his wife Christy and daughters Tierney Faith and Gentry Grace, in attendance and seated in the front row.

Helton and Christy know each other from their college days at the University of Tennessee and went on to tie the knot in January 2000.

Christy Helton, born in Knoxville, Tennessee, was a soccer star at the University of Tennessee. The mutual interest between the two in sports helped them connect with each other well.

After Helton's retirement from MLB and the birth of their daughters, Tierney Faith and Gentry Grace, the couple relocated from Brighton, Colorado, to Knoxville, Tennessee, where they currently reside.

The family is good friends with former Tennessee Volunteers football teammate and former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning.

When Todd Helton was enshrined in January, he visited Cooperstown with his wife and two daughters.

Todd Helton thanks his wife Christy, two daughters and his parents during HOF induction speech

During his Hall of Fame speech on Sunday, Todd Helton praised and thanked his wife for her contribution and support in helping his career. Helton mentioned how Christy was beside him throughout the whole journey of his MLB career.

“First to my wife, Christy. We did this together. This is our honor. You were there on Day 1 when i got my first call from Major League Baseball telling me I had been drafted by the Colorado Rockies and you were right there by my side when I got the last call, telling me I had been elected to the hall of fame. I am so grateful you were there alongside me for all those years inbetween those two calls," Helton said in his speech.

The five-time All-Star also spoke about the arrival of his daughters, which helped him learn a lot in life while raising them.

"Tierney Faith and Gentry Grace, the pure tenderness of your heart in each of you, blows me away at every turn. I have actually seen and learned so much about myself in raising you as your dad. You both mean the world to me," he added.

Todd Helton also praised his mother, Lynda Courville Helton and his late father, Jerry Helton in his speech. The Rockies icon said his dad taught him a lot about baseball and for that, he will forever be indebted to him.
