At the official introduction ceremony, Adames spoke highly of the ballclub, the front office executives and manager Bob Melvin.
"Thank you Buster, I am thrilled to be here. I am, so excited for this opportunity, obviously there are no words to describe my feeling right now. And to be here in this beautiful city, I am just so happy to be here, happy to go out there on the field and give my 100% every day.
"And you know play for Bob (Melvin), so excited about that. I just want to thank the ownership and you Buster for making it happen. This is a dream come true for me," said Willy Adames
Adames produced one of the finest years of his MLB career with the Brewers in 2024. He finished the regular season with a .251 batting average, 32 home runs, 112 RBIs, 21 stolen bases, and a .794 OPS.
Giants manager Bob Melvin spoke highly of Willy's character on-field and inside the dugout as he said:
"Every team wants a Willy Adames on their team. I think the thing that strikes me the most is when I'd watch him play a couple times a year on the other side โฆ he never looked like he had a bad day. It always looked like it was Opening Day for him."
