"Wind Farmer" - Trevor Bauer trolls Mexican League opponent after dominant offspeed strikeout
One of the ways that Trevor Bauer has been attempting to remain relevant and in the minds of fans and experts has been by remaining incredibly active on social media. The former Cy Young Award winner has been posting videos of himself and his performances in the Mexican League, highlighting his impressive strikeouts and variety of effective pitches.
In one of his latest videos, Bauer showcased an impressive strikeout he recorded with a slider. During a pitching sequence, Bauer was mic'd up, talking to himself throughout the outing, praising his good pitches and showing frustration when the ball did not move as he hoped.

Before the strikeout, Bauer spoke to himself, analyzing his opponent throughout the at-bat.
"Okay, now you've two, there's no way you lay off the slider down," Bauer said to himself, referring to the batter.
"You're slowed down, you're taking this pitch for sure," Bauer continued to the batter.
The former Cincinnati Reds starter threw a combination of cutters and fastballs before recording a swinging strikeout with a slider. "Wind Farmer," Trevor Bauer said in the video after the batter looked silly, missing with a rather hapless swing. It was an impressive offspeed pitch from the former All-Star, as he looks to prove why he deserves another shot in the MLB.
Trevor Bauer has not given up on trying to earn another MLB contract
Trevor Bauer continues to push for another opportunity in the MLB. The former Los Angeles Dodgers star has not pitched in the majors since 2021, however, he is currently thriving in the Mexican League. After being involved in sexual assault allegations, Bauer has since been cleared of any criminal wrongdoing and has been trying to work his way back to the MLB.
It remains to be seen if any MLB club will be willing to sign Bauer to a contract despite the former ace telling teams that he would be willing to agree to a minimum salary deal. The off-field issues are likely the reason why teams are not interested in bringing Bauer into the fold, as he has been elite in the Mexican League this season.
"What else does @BauerOutage have to do? Trevor Bauer set a Mexican League record last night by striking out 19. Yes, you read that right… NINETEEN strikeouts. 8.2 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 19 K’s" - @TheBsblr
Through 81.0 innings of work this year with the Diablos Rojos del México, Bauer has posted an incredible 10-0 record with a 1.78 ERA and 117 strikeouts. Although there have been questions about the talent level of the Mexican League, it's tough to deny the stats that Bauer has produced this season.
