World Series 2024 tickets for Dodgers, Yankees matchup sold out and reselling for over $1000: Report

There are no more tickets available for the World Series between the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers. The high-profile matchup should feature packed stadiums every single night, with fans who were quick to snap up a ticket.

Those who still want to go will have to spend a small fortune to get into the game. The fans who already purchased tickets did, too, but scarcity has driven the price up even more.

Per reporter Arash Markazi, every single game has its lowest ticket price exceeding $1000. The cheapest is Game 1 in LA, which is being sold for $1,007. The most expensive is Game 6. Should it be necessary, the tickets are $1,276. That narrowly edges out a potential Game 7 at $1,275.

These two teams are the biggest in MLB. They compete in the two largest media markets in all of sports and rank among the wealthiest teams. This combination has resulted in a World Series matchup of powerhouses, which is reflected in the current ticket prices.

World Series tickets are never cheap since it's the last and most important set of games in MLB. This one is particularly expensive to get tickets for, but that hasn't stopped fans from purchasing them all up in an incredible time. Game 1 isn't until Friday, but the tickets for all seven games are gone.

Dodgers vs Yankees World Series timeline set

The World Series is officially set. Shortly after the Los Angeles Dodgers ousted the New York Mets in the NLCS on Sunday, the 2024 World Series schedule was confirmed, followed by the start times for the games.

Every single game, whether it's in LA or New York, is going to be at 8 pm EST or 5 pm PST. This is MLB's way of balancing between two teams that are in decidedly different time zones. Jet lag going from the East to the West Coast might play a role in this series.

Every game, beginning with the first on Friday and the potential seventh on November 2, will start shortly after 8 pm EST. That could leave East Coast audiences up late every night.
