World Series champ Teoscar Hernandez makes his feelings known on which team he'd like to join in free agency
It has been a dream season for new acquisition Teoscar Hernandez. After a sole year with the Seattle Mariners that saw his bWAR dip, the Dominican outfielder signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2024 on a one-year deal. To everyone's surprise, it was a match made in heaven.
The Dominican outfielder reached the pinnacle of the sport with the Dodgers after playing a starring role throughout the season. When asked about his new destination heading into 2025, he only had one thing in mind.
"The Dodgers will be my priority in free agency. I will do whatever is possible to return. It's not in my hands, but if it were I'd pick them." - Hernandez to FOX Deportes via Blake Harris
In an interview with FOX Deportes, the channel's Spanish language channel, Hernandez emphasized that if he was given the chance, he would return to the Dodgers.
That comes as no surprise since Teoscar Hernandez not only built a good relationship with teammates, like Ohtani, but is also adored by the Dodgers fans.
Whichever direction the Dodgers may go, Hernandez will be carrying his .272 batting average with a career-best 33 home runs along with a Home Run Derby title and a World Series ring to his next destination.
Teoscar Hernandez throws out Giancarlo Stanton
In what was perhaps the most pivotal moment of World Series Game 3, Teoscar Hernandez's rocket arm threw out Yankee slugger Giancarlo Stanton at home plate.

With the Dodgers leading 3-0 and with two outs, Anthony Volpe stepped up with Giancarlo Stanton in scoring position. The young Yankees shortstop smacked a line drive to left that fell in front of Hernandez. The outfielder then proceeded to corral the ball and threw a hail mary to the plate.
Had it been any other Yankee player, they would have been safe. However, since Stanton is now known for his baserunning abilities, he was thrown out.
Debates on social media ensued immediately after as to who should take the responsibility for the blunder. Some pointed at Stanton's sluggish base running, while others put the blame on Yankees third base coach Luis Rojas for waving the slow slugger home.
Nevertheless Teoscar Hernandez's throw killed the building momentum of the Yankees, and, in retrospect, was instrumental in the team's Game 3 success and eventual World Series win.
