Tommy Pham Trade Rumors: Braves might be the perfect fit to land veteran slugger

Tommy Pham has been one of the few bright spots in the Chicago White Sox lineup. Working on a $3 million deal, he is certainly one of the names expected to be traded ahead of the July 31 deadline.

Many have speculated where Pham could be traded to with plenty of contending teams looking for outfield help. However, one team stands out more than most, and that is the Atlanta Braves.

The Braves are without their star Ronald Acuna Jr. for the season after he tore his ACL, and currently have Michael Harris II on the IL as well. While Harris is nearing his comeback, they still need help in the outfield.

One reason that Atlanta stands out is because they are currently $33 million above the luxury tax threshold. So whatever they are looking for ahead of the trade deadline, must come cheap, which Pham is.

Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller tied Atlanta to Pham in a trade, and it would not likely hurt the organization too much. He sees the Braves sending Single-A RHP Seth Keller to Chicago, which is the team's 29th-best prospect.

While the Braves seem interested in Tommy Pham, they are certainly not the only ones. The Kansas City Royals also seem interested in the red-hot veteran slugger.

Kansas City has come out and surprised many and has looked strong this season, but needs some outfield help. They have one of the worst-hitting outfields among contending teams, and Pham would greatly help their cause.

The Seattle Mariners and St. Louis Cardinals are also thought to have interest in a potential trade. It does not look like Pham will be in Chicago much longer, but that was expected when he originally signed.
