Ryan Pressly Trade Rumors: 3 possible landing spots for 2x All-Star pitcher amid Astros' torrid start

Ryan Pressly is an arm that many teams could start asking about soon with the Houston Astros' rough start to the season. Heading into Saturday, the club sits five games under .500, putting them third in the AL West.

Many have speculated that Houston could be one of the sellers at the trade deadline, which takes place July 30. With rumors flying, we take a look at some possible landing spots for the two-time All-Star.

Three possible teams that could target Astros reliever Ryan Pressly

#3 Baltimore Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles have gotten off to a great start this year. They are second in the highly competitive America League East with a 28-14 record.

Baltimore has a closer in Craig Kimbrel, but he has not been all that effective. Targeting Pressly could move Kimbrel into a setup role, which would improve the team's bullpen.

#2 New York Yankees

The New York Yankees look like a much-improved team from last season. They sit atop the American League East with a 32-15 record and don't look to be slowing down.

The Yanks have Clay Holmes who has turned into a very capable closer. However, they have a history of targeting elite setup/closer combinations for the postseason. Adding Pressly would make the Bronx Bombers a much scarier squad.

#1 Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs may need bullpen help more than any other club in the league. While they are a solid squad, they can't be a legitimate postseason contender if they don't address their bullpen issues.

Adbert Alzolay has struggled to recapture what made him special last season. With the NL Central seemingly open, it would make a ton of sense for the Cubs to check in on Ryan Pressly ahead of the trade deadline.
